Indication
Vitamin and selenium supplements. It is used to prevent and control the white muscle disease and the exudative quality of chicks. Selenium, as a component of glutathione peroxidase, can remove the intermediate products of lipid peroxidation free radicals in vivo, prevent lipid peroxidation of biofilm, and maintain the normal structure and function of cell membrane. Selenium also participates in the synthesis of coenzyme A and coenzyme Q, which plays an important role in the process of tricarboxylic acid circulation and electron transfer in vivo. Selenium exists in selenoproteins in the form of selenocysteine and selenomethionine. It plays its biological functions by affecting the free radical metabolism, antioxidant function, immune function, reproductive function, apoptosis and endocrine system of animal body.
Dosage and Administration
For Poultry:
Mix 1 ml into 10-20 ltrs of drinking water
For Livestock:
Mix 1 ml into 5 ltrs of drinking water
Use for 5 to 7 days consecutively
Adverse Reactions
The minimum lethal dose of single oral administration of sodium selenite in swines is 17 mg / kg; the oral administration of 10 mg sodium selenite in young lambs will cause mental depression, ataxia, dyspnea, frequent urination, cyanosis, mydriasis, distention and death, and the pathological damage includes edema, hematocoele and necrosis, which may involve many systems.
