Composition
Contains per ml:

Nitroxynil          340mg

Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin)   100 mcg

Excipient q.s    1 ml

Deseription:

*The main phamacological action of the active ingredient in this solution, nitroxinil, is fasciolicidal. The lethal action against Fasciola hepatica has been demonstrated in vitro and in vivo in laboratory animals, and in sheep and cattle. The mechanism of action is due to uncoupling of oxidative phosphorylation. lt is also active against triclabendazole-resistant F. hepatica.

*Vitamin B12 is an essential vitamin for all mammals. The vitamin is necessary for the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Microorganisms in the rumen of cattle and sheep manufacture vitamin B12. Cobalt is an essential element for the production of vitamin B12. Without sufficient cobalt, vitamin B12 is not produced and symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency begin to develop.

Indications
*This product is indicated for the treatment of fascioliasis (infestations of mature and immature Fasciola hepatica) in cattle and sheep. lt is also effective, at the recommended dose rate, against adult and larval infestations of Haemonchus contortus in cattle and sheep and Haemonchus placei, Oesophagostomum radiatum and Bunostomum phlebotomum in cattle.

*ln all cases of clinical signs of vitamin B12 deficiency include weight loss, suppressed appetite decreased feed efficiency, anaemia, diarrhoea, rough coat, scaly ears and weepy eyes .

Administration and Dosage

For subcutaneous or oral administration.
