Composition

Each bolus contains:

Sulfadimidine.............................400mg

Neomycin Sulfate ......................250mg

Indication

Sulfadimidine is a sulfonamide antibacterial. Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. Used to treat and control of gastrointestinal infections (bacterial enteritis) caused by gram-positive and partial gram-negative bacterial infections (Escherichia coli) susceptible to sulfadimidine and neomycin in dogs and cats. It is also used for coccidia and toxoplasma infections.

Administration and Dosage

For oral administration:

Dogs and cats: 1 bolus/10kg, 1-2 times daily, for 3-5 days.

Contraindication      

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to sulfadimidine or/and neomycin. 

Adverse Reaction

Long-term use can damage the kidneys and nervous system, affect weight gain, and may occur sulfonamides poisoning.

Precaution

When renal dysfunction, slow excretion, should be used with caution. It can cause intestinal flora imbalance, long-term medication can cause the reduction of vitamin B and vitamin K synthesis and absorption, should add the appropriate vitamins.
