Composition
Each ml contains:
Toltrazuril................................50 mg
Indication
Piglets, Hens, Chickens, Guinea Fowl, Turkeys; Roosters: for the treatment of coccidiosis during the production stages of animals.
Dosage and Administration
For oral administration of Butolvet:
100 ml per 200-liter bar of water,
continuous medication for 48 hours.
1 ml of Butolvet for every 2 liters of water.
300 ml per 200-liter bar of water,
for 8 hours for 2 consecutive days.
1.5 ml of Butolvet for every liter of water.
Side Effects and Contraindications
Administration of Butoltra to animals with liver and/or kidney failure.
Precaution
Toltrazuril, the active ingredient in Butoltra, does not interfere with the development of immunity against coccidiosis. As with all anticoccidials, prolonged use may induce the development of resistant strains.
As with any antiparasitic agent, frequent and repeated use of antiprotozoal agents of the same class or active ingredients, and underdosing due to underestimation of body weight, may lead to the development of resistance.
It is important to maintain the recommended dose to minimize the risk of resistance.
Withdrawal Time
The withdrawal period for meat animals depends on the type:
For chickens: 18 days
For turkeys: 21 days
Storage and Expired Time
The Butolvet container should be kept tightly sealed and stored in a cool place.
