Indications
For treatment of respiratory, gastrointestinal and urogenital infections (bronchitis, pneumonia, pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, endometritis, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, infected wounds, pyodermia sepsis, etc.), caused by gentamicin-sensitive microorganisms
Dosage and Administration
Intramuscular injection.
For horse: 2~4mg/kg body weight;
For Dogs and cats: 4~6 mg/kg body weight;
Subcutaneous injection
In chickens (for control of colibacillosis and paratyphus) the preparation is diluted with sterile distilled water (1:40) for Gentamicin 4% and is injected at a dose rate of 0.2 ml/1-day-old chicken.
Intravenous injection
In cows: (for treatment of endometritis) 5.0 ml is diluted with 20-50 ml isotonic solution of sodium chloride.
In mares: 12.5 ml diluted with 200 ml isotonic solution of sodium chloride.
In case of pyometra the exudate must be preliminarily removed.
Side Effect and Contraindications
Severe renal disorders accompanied by azotemia.
Do not apply simultaneously with general anesthetics, muscle relaxants, other aminoglycosides, polymyxins.
In cases of continuous administration in higher doses the preparation may cause heavy nephritis and damages of the vestibular and hearing organs, especially in cats. If ataxia and vomiting occur, the treatment must be terminated.
Withdrawal Time
For meat (excluding kidneys and injection site):7 days after the last administration of the preparation.
For kidneys and injection site: 45 days after the last administration of the preparation.
For milk: 2 days after the last administration of the preparation.
Storage and Expired Time
In the original packing, well closed, in dry and well-ventilated facilities, protected from direct sunlight.
