Composition
Each ml contains:
Gentamicin Sulfate……..50000IU
Indication
For treatment of respiratory, gastrointestinal and urogenital infections (bronchitis, pneumonia, pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, endometritis, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, infected wounds, pyodermia sepsis, etc.), caused by gentamicin-sensitive microorganisms.
Administration and Dosage
For intramuscular injection:
Horses, cattle and sheep: 0.1-0.2 ml/2.5kg body weight, twice daily for 2-3 days.
Adverse Reaction
Severe renal disorders accompanied by azotemia.
In cases of continuous administration in higher doses the preparation may cause heavy nephritis and damages of the vestibular and hearing organs, especially in cats. If ataxia and vomiting occur, the treatment must be terminated.
Precaution
Combined with penicillin, this product has a synergistic effect on streptococcus.
The combination with cephalosporin may enhance renal toxicity.
