Composition
Each ml contains:
Iron Dextran……100mg
Indication
For the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia including neonatal anemia in foals, calves, puppies, lambs and enhances immunity, enhances the ability of fighting against disease and relieves stress.
Administration and Dosage
For deep intramuscular injection:
Foals, calves and lambs: 2~6 ml
Puppies: 0.2~2 ml
Side Effects
Tissue discoloration and/ or local oedema may occur at the injection site, but will subside in few days. Interactions with other drugs: Mixing of iron dextran for injection with other preparations should be avoided, so as not to impair its stability, efficacy and tolerability.
Precaution
The toxicity of this product is larger, so the injection dose should be strictly controlled.
Iron salts can react with many chemicals or drugs and should not be given orally with or in combination with other drugs.
