Composition
Each ml contains:
Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride……50mg
Indication
Allergies, anaphylactic and inflammatory diseases – urticaria, allergic dermatides and dermatoses, allergic conjunctivitis, drug and feed related allergies, anaphylactic shock; aseptic total (diffuse) pododermatitis (laminitis acuta), periodic ophthalmia and chronic alveolar emphysema in horses; bronchial asthma, atony of forestomach and retained placenta in large and small ruminants; gangrenous mastitis in sheep; oedema disease in piglets; cases of insect and snake bites; transport disease; for anaesthesia of the nasal mucosa.
Dosage and Administration
For intramuscular injection:
Horse, camels and cattle: 100-500mg
Sheep, goats and calves: 40-60mg
Dog: 0.5-1mg each 1kg body weight or listen to the doctor’s advice
Adverse Reaction
This product has a strong central inhibitory effect, The most common adverse effects are sedation, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea and lack of appetite.
Short-acting barbiturates (e.g., sodium thiopental) may be administered intravenously to relieve poisoning, but long- or intermediate-acting barbiturates should not be used.
Precaution
For severe acute anaphylaxis, epinephrine is usually given first, followed by an injection of the product. Systemic treatment usually needs to be continued for 3 days.
